Well structured questionnaire was issued to the 80 respondent of which total of 200 responses were retrieved and validated for the study. Findings from the study reveals that there is a relationship between There is a relationship between between hepatitis b (HBV) serological markers relationship with vitB12 deficiency. This show that Hepatitis B virus infection and PIFN/RBV led to the decline of B vitamins including vitamin B1, B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid. it has been documented that B vitamins could exhibit antioxidant activity via scavenging oxygen radicals and organic radicals. Thus, the decrease in B vitamins diminished their antioxidant defense. On the other hand, the depletion of B12 vitamins also favored the occurrence of anemia in HbV patients with PIFN/RBV therapy.
